NMHU Hires Deisler as New Volleyball Coach

Las Vegas, N.M. -- February 11, 2008 -- Today, NMHU announces that Jim Deisler has been hired as the new Volleyball Coach at NMHU. Deisler replaces former coach Tom Duke, who's contract was not renewed after the 2007 season.

Deisler comes to NMHU from Iowa Central Community College, a 2-year institution.  Deisler was the Head Coach at Iowa Central for 3 seasons. His 2006 team qualified for the national tournament for the second time in school history and finished #8 in the nation in 2007.

Coach Deisler is looking forward to coaching at NMHU and is excited about the opportunity to coach at the NCAA DII level. He has met the team and is ready to hit the ground running.
