2017-18 #RMACmbb All-RMAC Teams Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2017-18 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Men’s Basketball All-Conference teams were announced on Tuesday.
 
Dayon Goodman of Westminster garners this year’s RMAC Player of the Year award. Goodman is one of four award recipients. Regis’ Dexter Sienko was named Defensive Player of the Year. Earning Freshman of the Year is Colorado School of Mines’ Michael Glen. Lastly, Westminster's head coach, Norm Parrish was named Coach of the Year.
 
The major awards, along with the All-RMAC First and Second Teams were voted on by the conferences' 15 head coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. Ten student-athletes were named First Team and 10 recieved Second Team honors. Those that received one First Team vote, or Second Team votes were named Honorable Mention.
 
The Rangers and Skyhawks led the RMAC with three players each earning All-RMAC honors. Adams State, Colorado School of Mines, CSU-Pueblo, Western, and Westminster each had two players receive First Team and Second Team honors.
 
Goodman helped to lead the Westminster Griffins to 17-5 in conference play and 21-5 on the season. He led the conference in scoring, averaging 27.7 points per game. Goodman also led the conference in defensive rebounds, averaging 6.8 per contest.
 
Sienko helped Regis’ earn a second-place regular season finish with a 17-5 RMAC record and finish 23-5 on the season. Sienko led the conference in blocked shots this season, averaging 2.1 blocks per game.
 
Glen assisted the Orediggers to finish fourth in the regular season with a 15-7 conference record. Glen finished second in the conference, behind Sienko, in blocked shots averaging 1.5 blocks per game.
