GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University freshman right-handed pitcher Jackson Eisenhauer is the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Freshman Pitcher of the Year and was joined by Mavericks senior outfielder Kolby Felix, who was the league’s Player of the Year, the league announced Wednesday, along with the league’s other major award winners and the All-RMAC teams.
Adams State University freshman designated hitter Osaias Hinojosa is the league’s Freshman Player of the Year, joining Eisenhauer as the league’s top freshmen. Colorado Mesa head coach Chris Hanks won his 14th RMAC Coach of the Year award.
The league's nine head coaches nominated and voted for the All-RMAC teams and awards. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their players.
Eisenhauer, a Los Angeles, California product, finished the regular season with an 8-1 record and 2.04 ERA in 12 starts this season. He struck out 54 batters and walked only nine in 53 innings of work this season. Eisenhauer enters the postseason with seven consecutive victories, during which he has allowed only five earned runs (1.27 ERA) and recorded 34 strikeouts (8.66 K/9). He ended the regular season ranked ninth among Division II pitchers in ERA, seventh in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.00), and 38th in victories. He leads all Division II freshmen in ERA and strikeout-to-walk ratio and is third in victories.
Felix, a Sun City, Arizona native, is a repeat First Team All-RMAC selection in addition to earning Player of the Year recognition this season. He is batting .422 (76-of-180) this season with 16 doubles, five triples, 15 home runs, and 57 RBI. Felix has 37 walks, 24 stolen bases, and 77 runs scored. He also brings an active 18-game hit streak into the postseason. Felix is fifth among Division II players in runs scored, eighth in on-base percentage (.556), 15th in slugging percentage (.817), and 26th in batting average.
Hinojosa, from Escondido, California, batted .410 (57-of-139) with 13 doubles, 11 home runs, and 54 RBI in 39 games played. He finished 49th among Division II hitters in batting average and 43rd in slugging percentage (.741). Among Division II freshmen, he was third in slugging percentage, fifth in batting average, and seventh in home runs.
Hanks, in his 26th season at the Mavericks’ helm, earns his 14th Coach of the Year award. He led Colorado Mesa to its 14th consecutive RMAC regular-season title and 21st during his tenure. During the regular season, Colorado Mesa led all Division II teams with 47 wins and a .918 win percentage. It is the Mavericks 18th 40-win season during his tenure. In addition, Colorado Mesa took an unblemished RMAC record into the final weekend, before finishing with a 31-1 mark.
The 2026 All-RMAC rosters recognize 35 student-athletes representing each of the league’s nine members. Colorado Mesa led all teams with 12 student-athletes on the All-RMAC teams, six on each team. The league also recognized its top defensive players, with nine individuals named to the Gold Glove Team.
