Five RMAC Schools Ranked in Top 50 of Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Final Standings

Orlando, Fla. - June 19, 2009 - Adams State led five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools in the 2008-09 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Division II final standings.  Grand Valley State led all 290 Division II schools with 1014.50 points.   

The standings are determined by a scoring system that ranks success at the national level in 27 sports.  Each school is scored on only 14 of those 27 sports to ensure equality among schools that sponsor a different number of sports.

Adams State recorded 585 points, followed by No. 12 Western State (585), No. 13 Metro State (479.95), No. 28 Nebraska-Kearney (408.5) and Mesa State (308.5).  To view the complete list of all 290 schools, click HERE.
