Clinton led the RMAC in rushing with 1,350 yards on 217 carries (6.7 yards/attempt) in 2012 and was named to the All-RMAC and All-Nebraska Division II First Teams following the season. He averaged 112.5 yards rushing per game and scored seven touchdowns. Clinton also had 21 receptions for 218 yards and a TD. He rushed for over 100 yards in six games and he eclipsed the 200-yard barrier twice, including a career-high 245 yards against CSU-Pueblo. Following the season, he was named a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American.
