Fort Lewis, Men's Soccer, 1995-1999
Luc Cisna was one of the greatest defenders to play for the Fort Lewis Men’s Soccer program. He played for the Skyhawks during 1995-99 while sitting out the 1996 season due to an injury. He is also the first men’s soccer player from any school to be inducted into the RMAC Hall of Fame. His career-high records as a defender include 17 points, seven goals, three assists and 76 games played. Cisna was a two-time All-American, two-time All-Region performer and Academic All-American, two-time team captain and an impeccable four-time Academic All-Conference performer for the Skyhawks. He led Fort Lewis to four RMAC Championships and the NCAA national title game in 1999. Cisna was chosen to play in the 2000 Umbro Bowl Selection game, which featured top collegiate players from all NCAA and NAIA divisions. He was named 1999-2000 Fort Lewis Male Athlete of the Year. After leaving Fort Lewis, Cisna continued his career in the professional leagues playing for several different teams. In 2009, he was named to the RMAC Men’s Soccer All-Century Team and was inducted into the Fort Lewis Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1999 team that advanced to the NCAA Championship game. Today, Cisna serves as the Associate Director of HR/OD at Colorado State University-Global Campus in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
