Jackson is Chadron State’s first four-time All-RMAC First Team selection as a defensive back and a three-time All-West Region choice and was a consensus All-American in 2002 and 2003. In 2002, was named RMAC’s Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and defensive captain of the Nebraska NCAA Division II All-Star team selected by the Omaha World Herald in 2002 and 2004. Jackson set a school record in career interceptions with 22 and returned them 348 yards, including four of them being touchdowns. His 92-yard interception against Nebraska-Kearney (2002) is the third longest in Chadron State history. Jackson averaged 29.1 yards on 35 kickoff returns, and 11.4 yards on 25 punt returns for the Eagles. He finished his career racking up 207 tackles, including 170 unassisted, broke up 45 passes, forced nine fumbles and recovered four. At the end of his four years, he led the Eagles to two RMAC Co-Championship titles and two NCAA Division II playoff appearances. The Eagles were 34-8 overall and 28-4 in the RMAC in his four years. Professionally, Jackson signed a three-year free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on April 27, 2004, but did not make the team’s final roster.
