Colorado School of Mines (2002-2006)
Davey-Briggs was a four-time letter winner in outdoor track and field, indoor track and field, and cross country at Colorado School of Mines. She ran four events throughout her collegiate career - the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the 400-meter, the 1,500-meter, and the Distance Medley Relay (DMR).
In cross country, Davey-Briggs received all-conference recognition in 2004 and 2005. During the 2005 season, she led the Orediggers to a fifth-place finish at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II (DII) National Championships and earned All-American honors.
Davey-Briggs ran the second leg of the distance medley relay (DMR) team that finished second and broke a program record (11:39.02), at the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field National Championships in 2006. In her senior season, she was also a NCAA DII All-America and Second Team All-RMAC selection for DMR.
Her most successful event was arguably the 3,000-meter steeplechase. In 2004, she was the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field National Champion in the event with a time of 10:33.72 and was named a NCAA DII All-American in the event. The following year, she won the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and was an NCAA DII national qualifier in the event. Davey-Briggs was a two-time First Team All-RMAC selection in steeplechase (2005, 2006) and was also named First Team All-RMAC in the 1500-meters (2005).
Off the track, Davey-Briggs also excelled academically. She was a seven-time RMAC All-Academic selection and was named Colorado School of Mines’ Female RMAC Student-Athlete during the 2005-06 academic year. In 2006, she received USTFCCA All-Academic recognition.
In 2010, she was inducted into the 15
th annual class of Colorado School of Mines’ Athletic Hall of Fame.
