COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-RMAC Football Teams and major awards were announced on Tuesday.
 
CSU-Pueblo, led the way by claiming four of the six major awards. Headlining that list were Cameron McDondle and Morgan Fox, who were the RMAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

All major awards and All-RMAC First and Second Teams were voted on by the league's 10 head coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. All players who received at least one First Team vote or two Second Team votes earned Honorable Mention.
 
McDondle led the league and is currently second in the nation in rushing, having tallied 1,943 yards on the ground during the regular season. His 24 rushing touchdowns leads the country.
 
Fox, the RMAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, is enjoying a monster campaign from his defensive end spot. He leads the country in sacks per game (1.67) and is eighth in tackles for loss per game (2.0).
 
Western State’s Dakota Swinehart and Colorado Mesa’s Dustin Rivas were named Co-Special Teams Players of the Year.
 
Swinehart was second in the conference in punting average (42.6) and landed 22 punts inside the 20-yard line.
 
Rivas led the RMAC and was third in the nation in punt-return average (17.0 yards/return). He brought one back for a touchdown and totaled 390 punt-return yards.
 
CSU-Pueblo quarterback AJ Thompson was tabbed Offensive Freshman of the Year. Thompson took the reins of the ThunderWolves offense and finished 1,268 passing yards and a 61.1 percent completion rate.
 
CSU-Pueblo’s Darius Williams was named Defensive Freshman of the Year after grabbing two interceptions on the season, bringing one all the way back to the house. He also made 25 total tackles.
 
ThunderWolves head coach John Wristen was tabbed RMAC Coach of the Year for a fifth straight season after leading CSU-Pueblo to a 10-1 overall record and an undefeated 9-0 RMAC mark.
