RMAC Showcase Host Jason Carter Set To Emcee 2018 RMAC Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Showcase host and producer, Jason Carter will be the Master of Ceremonies for the 16th annual RMAC Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet on Friday, July 13 at the Colorado Springs Marriott Hotel.
 
Jason is in his third season as the producer and host of the RMAC Showcase, a show that airs monthly on Altitude Sports. Altitude was created by Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth and Colorado Rapids owner, Stan Kroenke, to give area sports fans the most comprehensive regional sports network in the Rockies. Entering its 15th season (2018-19), the RMAC Showcase continues to highlight current student-athletes across the conference and is the longest running program on Altitude, not produced by the network itself. In addition, Jason has served as the moderator at the RMAC Football Kickoff since 2016.
 
Prior to the RMAC, Jason spent 10 years as a Sports Anchor for a local television station including two years at the ABC station, KRDO in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 2015 he established Twelve Legs Marketing, LLC, a digital marketing agency located in Colorado Springs. Within the past three years, Jason has produced videos for several clients such as the Air Force Academy, Academy School District 20, Colorado Springs Utilities, National Collegiate Hockey Conference, and more. He serves as the host of Colorado Prep Spotlight, which is a weekly high school sports show that airs on AT&T Sports Net, and spotlights high school athletes throughout Colorado. He also provides play-by-play and color commentary for live sports broadcasts and is a FAA licensed drone pilot.
 
During his career, the videos he shot have appeared on ESPN on four separate occasions, including the No. 1 play on Sports Center’s Top 10. To date, Jason has won more than 30 awards for broadcast journalism, including four Edward R. Murrow Awards, an award that honors the outstanding achievements of news organizations in broadcast and digital journalism. He was nominated for an Emmy for Live Play-By-Play in 2017 and a year later he was named the American Advertising Federation “Producer of the Year” and Colorado Springs Gazette’s “Best of” Winner for Video Production.
 
Jason graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News in 2006 and later with a master’s degree in Strategic Communications in 2018.
