COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – Senior midfielder Tori Rinsem form Regis has been named the 2019 Women's Soccer Academic Player of the Year. Rinsem headlines 154 honorees for the 2019 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) All-Academic team.
This marks the second year in a row that women's soccer has earned the most honorees by any sport in any year since we began tracking the numbers in 2001-02.
Rinsem, along with the other First Team All-Academic members, were voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
The highflying Ranger midfielder boasts a near perfect 3.99 GPA in Health and Exercise Science. Rinsem, from Gilbert, Ariz. was named to the All-RMAC First Team last season after being named to the RMAC Second Team in 2016 & 2017. In 2016 Risnem was also named the RMAC Freshman of the Year.
