CMU's Liborio and RU's Huggins Named 2018-19 #RMACgolf Summit Award Winners
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University’s Megan Liborio and Regis University’s Nick Huggins were named the 2018-19 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Golf Summit Award Winners on Friday.
The award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average (GPA), participating at the finals sites for each of the RMAC’s championships.
All GPAs are based on a straight grading scale to ensure consistency among institutions. Any tie is broken by the number of credits completed.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above, who participated in their sport for at least two years with their school. They must be an active member of the team, traveling and competing at the championship. Graduate students are not eligible.
Liborio, who won the award last year, has maintained a 4.00 GPA while majoring in Marketing. The Chandler, Arizona native is a two-time RMAC All-Academic First Team selection. On the course she has a 78.92 stroke average so far this season, with a low round of 73 at the Mustang Intercollegiate Invite. The senior was a Second Team All-RMAC selection last campaign and earned First Team All-RMAC honors in 2016-17 and 2015-16.
Huggins is a sophomore with a 3.937 GPA majoring in Accounting with a minor in Criminology. So far this season, Huggins shot a low round score of 74, twice and owns a 76.2 stroke average.
Liborio and Huggins will be recognized at the conclusion of the 2019 RMAC Golf Championships on April 21-23 at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona. For more information, visit
