COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has announced the 2019-20 All-RMAC wrestling teams and major award winners on Thursday.

Maxamillian Schneider of San Francisco State was named the RMAC Wrestler of the Year while Western Colorado’s Patrick Allis was tabbed RMAC Freshman of the Year. Colorado School of Mines’ head wrestling coach, Austin DeVoe was selected as Coach of the Year for the second straight year.

The major awards and the All-RMAC teams were nominated and voted on by the conference’s eight head wrestling coaches. Coaches could not vote for their own student-athletes.

Schneider, is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation at 157 pounds. He posted an incredible perfect 18-0 regular season record including 14-0 in duals. He has notched a total of 12 pins this year including 11 in the first period and six in the first minute of action.

Allis, a true freshman from Larkspur, Colorado did not let his inexperience stop him as he boasts an undefeated RMAC record. He has wins over both returning national finalists at 125 pounds and finished second at the Midwest Classic. The Mountaineer has an overall record of 25-6 this season.

DeVoe, led the Orediggers to yet another historic regular-season as the team captured the RMAC title in back-to-back years. Last years title marked the first in program history. Colorado School of Mines also completed its first-ever perfect RMAC season with a 7-0 record.

Every RMAC wrestling program was represented on the All-RMAC teams including seven different institutions earning First-Team honors. No. 12 nationally ranked Colorado School of Mines, No. 21 ranked Colorado Mesa and San Francisco State had the most student-athletes on First Team All-RMAC with two each.
