COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO— Will Ross of University of Colorado – Colorado Springs was named the 2019-20 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Indoor Track & Field Academic Athlete of the Year.
 
Ross, along with the other First Team All-Academic team members, were voted on by the conference’s sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
 
All student-athletes who meet those requirements, but were not voted First Team, automatically qualify for Honor Roll.
 
Ross, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and boasts a 3.89 grade-point average (GPA). Ross claimed both Indoor RMAC championship titles in the long jump and triple jump in his very own Mountain Lion Fieldhouse. He qualified for the Division II National Championship in both of those events with the 9th best mark in LJ & 4th best mark in the TJ.  
 
Colorado School of Mines had the most representatives on the All-Academic list with 13 total and five being named to first team. In all, a total of 126 student-athletes received All-Academic honors.
