Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Regis’ Kristian Hooker is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Academic Player of the Year, the league announced Monday along with the 2021 Academic All-Conference First Team.
 
Hooker headlines the all-conference roster as the Academic Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The Rangers’ senior forward has secured a flawless 4.0 grade-point average as a biochemistry major. A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Hooker ranks second on the Regis squad with 16 points and seven goals. He has earned a spot on the 2019 and 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Teams and has earned the RMAC Men’s Soccer Summit Award for two consecutive seasons. His latest first team academic all-conference nod marks the third of his career.
 
Colorado School of Mines leads the way among the first team with a trio of selections in Patrick Allan, George Marchant and Michael Sprauer. Marchant and Sprauer pace the Mines midfield and Allan is a staple of the Orediggers’ backline.
 
CSU Pueblo, Regis and University of Colorado Colorado Springs account for two selections apiece. Josua Hall and Garret Wild represent the ThunderWolves, while Regis’ Cooper Erickson joins Hooker on the academic squad. Sophomore Alex Andersson and redshirt senior Adam Baldwin earned positions on the roster for the Mountain Lions. Fort Lewis goalkeeper Peter Byrne rounds out the academic team, claiming the lone spot for the Skyhawks.
 
In addition to the team represented on the roster, the remaining five institutions are also represented on the RMAC Honorable Mention list.
