2021 RMAC Volleyball All-Academic Full Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Rylee Hladky is the 2021 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Volleyball Academic Player of the Year, the league announced Monday. In addition to Hladky’s academic honor, the 2021 RMAC First Team Academic All-Conference team and RMAC Volleyball Honor Roll were announced Monday.

Hladky claims RMAC Volleyball Academic Player of the Year after pushing the Roadrunners to a No. 1 national ranking during the 2021 campaign, a ranking they continue to hold heading into week-10 play. The sophomore has been paramount from the outside hitter position for MSU Denver and ranks first in the RMAC for points per set (4.20). She also leads the Roadrunners with 3.46 kills per set, a mark that stands second in the conference. Hladky and the Roadrunners are currently riding an 18-match win streak, which began with a 3-0 win against Texas A&M-Commerce (Sept. 10). A native of Gillette, Wyo., Hladky holds a flawless 4.0 grade-point average as a mechanical engineering major.

Of the 10 student-athletes honored on the RMAC All-Academic First Team, six institutions are represented with four of those schools earning multiple honorees.

Black Hills State, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University Pueblo and MSU Denver each account for two selections apiece. Colorado Mesa and Regis round out the first team with one honoree each.

In addition to Hladky, Colorado Mesa’s Sabrina VanDeList and CSU Pueblo’s Elaine Thibadeau represent the three student-athletes who hold a perfect 4.0 GPA.
