COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Championship season is well underway, and in less than one week, Colorado Springs will serve as the site of the 2021 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), along with the City of Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs Sports Corp and Switchbacks FC will unite to host the NCAA Championships at Weidner Field, home of Switchbacks FC, beginning Thursday, Dec. 9.
"This is a historic week for the RMAC and soccer in Colorado Springs,” said RMAC Commissioner Chris Graham. “Along with all of our local partners, I'm confident that our conference and our great city will put on a championship-caliber event for our NCAA Division II student-athletes."
Thursday’s semifinal matches will kick off with the opening women’s match at 11 a.m. MT, followed by the second women’s semifinal match at 2 p.m. The first men’s semifinal will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the second men’s semifinal matchup at 8 p.m. Winners of the semifinal rounds will meet Saturday, Dec. 11, in the championship matches. The women’s championship contest will begin at noon, followed by the men’s championship at 3 p.m.
“Soccer in Colorado Springs has grown exponentially in recent years and we are very excited to be able to continue its development by bringing the 2021 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships,” said RMAC Director of Strategic Communications Zack Chavez. “We are very fortunate to partner with the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Sports Corp and Switchbacks FC to bring such a prestigious event to this city.”
Eight men’s teams remain in postseason contention and will play Saturday, Dec. 4, to determine the final four contenders. Half of the women’s quarterfinals field has been determined and the remainder will be decided Friday, Dec. 3. The women’s quarterfinal round will be played Sunday, Dec. 5, with the winners advancing to the semifinals in Colorado Springs.

here. Walk-ups are welcome and tickets may also be purchased at the box office at Weidner Field.
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available for this event. Volunteer roles include entrance operations, parking, etc. All volunteers will receive NCAA gear to sport and food to eat during their shifts.
