COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Spring 2021 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Volleyball Tournament bracket is set with Colorado Mesa University leading the Top 8 teams as the No. 1 seed.
The eight-team tournament will begin on Thursday, April 8 with the quarterfinals. The semifinals will occur on Friday, April 9, followed by the championship game on Saturday, April 10. ALL games will be hosted by Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado.
The Mavericks earned hosting rights after securing the 2020-21 RMAC Regular-Season championship title, finishing the regular-season with a 17.18 rating percentage index (RPI). Colorado Mesa will be looking to win their third RMAC tournament title after hoisting the trophy in 2018 and 2014.
The No. 2 seeded MSU Denver will be on Colorado Mesa’s heels this tournament as their only loss this season came against the Mavericks in early March. The Roadrunners have notoriously been successful at the RMAC tournament, having won six titles, the second most in RMAC History (Nebraska-Kearney leads with eight).
Colorado Mesa (No. 2), MSU Denver (No. 3), Colorado School of Mines (No. 15), and Regis (No. 22) are also ranked amongst the Top 25 in the most recent AVCA Division II Coaches Poll. CSU-Pueblo received votes in the poll.
