2021-22 RMAC Women’s Basketball All-Academic Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – South Dakota Mines’ Ryan Weiss is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Academic Player of the Year, the league announced Monday alongside its First Team Academic All-Conference roster and Academic Honor Roll. The RMAC Academic All-Conference teams are voted on by the league’s 15 sports information directors.
 
Weiss has been a prominent piece of the Hardrockers’ offense this season and currently ranks No. 14 on South Dakota Mines’ all-time scoring list. The guard is a two-time RMAC All-Conference and is now a three-time RMAC All-Academic First Team honoree. She currently holds the Hardrockers’ program record for made three-pointers and currently leads her squad averaging 13.1 points per game this season. Weiss is currently pursuing a graduate degree in engineering management, where she holds a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
 
There are a total of six institutions represented among the RMAC All-Academic first-team roster and four student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA. Black Hills State, Colorado Mesa, Colorado School of Mines and Westminster lead the way with two selections apiece. Fort Lewis and South Dakota Mines round out the roster with one honoree each.
