Grizzlies’ Noah Hermosillo Named RMAC Wrestler of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Adams State’s Noah Hermosillo is the week three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
 
Hermosillo claims the latest RMAC weekly wrestling honor after earning a 4-0 record over the weekend at the Younes Hospitality Open, hosted by Nebraska-Kearney, in Kearney, Neb. The senior dominated the 157-pound division and closed the event with a 9-2 win in the title match. Hermosillo claimed pinfalls in half of his matches and led a string of Adams State competitors with top performances at the open.
 
The Grizzlies will now turn their attention to the Doug Moses Open on Saturday, Dec. 3, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. New Mexico Highlands will serve as the host for the one-day event, which will be held inside the Cowboys’ John A. Wilson Complex.
 
Wrestler of the Week: Noah Hermosillo, Adams State – Sr. – 157 – Walsenburg, Colo.
Hermosillo paced the Grizzlies on Saturday as he won the 157-pound elite championship at the Younes Hospitality Open. Two of his wins were by pinfall as he officially finished the weekend with a perfect 4-0 record. He claimed his latest title with a 9-2 decision over Cason Lindsey, who was wrestling unattached and was ultimately named the elite wrestler of the tournament.
