Five RMAC Volleyball Student-Athletes Named AVCA All-Americans

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2022 All-America rosters Wednesday and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference claimed five spots among the 42 roster positions. Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Rylee Hladky and Riley Anderson represent the Roadrunners, while Drew Stokes and Rose Stuewe earn All-America distinctions for Colorado School of Mines. Regis’ Amelia Davis rounds out the five RMAC honorees, claiming the Ranger’s lone All-America honor.
 
Hladky secures a first-team nod after leading the Roadrunners to the NCAA Division II South Central Region’s championship match. The junior outside hitter closed out the 2022 season ranked 50th nationally for kills per set (3.55) and 62nd in total kills (376).  Hladky led the MSU Denver attack to a .291 hitting percentage while recording ten double-doubles on the season.
 
Anderson claims a third-team honor after registering 299 kills and 3.11 kills per set for the Roadrunners in the 2022 campaign. The outside hitter helped MSU Denver defensively with 43 total blocks for an average of .45 blocks per set. Anderson boosted her team to the South Central title match after registering a career-high of 21 kills in the semifinal round.
 
Stokes receives the fourth AVCA All-America honor of her career with a second-team distinction after leading the Orediggers to a 22-8 overall record. The Mines setter had an impressive 2022 campaign where she registered 1,275 total assists and 12.65 assists per set, which ranks 11th and third nationally, respectively. Stokes also recorded 261 digs, 93 kills, 35 blocks and 24 service aces throughout her graduate season.
 
Stuewe grabs a third team nod after finishing the season with a team-high 383 kills for a .266 hitting percentage over 30 matches. She led the Orediggers’ hitters to a .264 team-hitting percentage and an average of 14.8 kills per set. Stuewe also collected 41 blocks, including nine solo blocks, throughout the season.
 
Davis earns a second-team honor for the Rangers after dominating at the net throughout the 2022 season, leading Regis to the finals of the RMAC Tournament. In her first season with the Rangers, Davis guided her squad to its ninth NCAA Tournament appearance and closed the season ranked 39th in the nation with 114 blocks. The sophomore middle blocker also registered 329 kills and a .335 hitting percentage for the Rangers.
