COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo’s JaNaiya Davis and Colorado Mesa’s Olivia Reed are the week six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
 
Davis claims her first RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the 2022-23 season after leading the ThunderWolves (7-4, 4-1 RMAC) to a 77-75 win over South Dakota Mines last week. Against the Hardrockers, the guard dropped 21 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field. She also added four steals and three assists in the overtime victory, extending the Pack’s win streak to three games in the process.
 
CSU Pueblo is back in action at home on Friday, Dec. 30, against Colorado Mesa in a 2 p.m. MT tipoff inside Massari Arena in Pueblo, Colo.
 
Reed claims the latest RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honor after leading the Mavericks (2-9, 1-4 RMAC) to a 68-64 victory at home over Adams State over the weekend. The freshman was lights out for the Mavs, nailing seven of her nine field goal attempts for a scorching 78-percent shooting average. She stamped 14 points to go along with a dominant 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in the win while playing in all 40 minutes.
 
Colorado Mesa is back in action at the end of the month with a road tilt against CSU Pueblo, which will be broadcast on the RMAC Network.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: JaNaiya Davis, CSU Pueblo – Gr. – G – Hewitt, Texas
Davis notched a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead CSU Pueblo to its third consecutive win, a 77-75 double overtime win at South Dakota Mines. Davis added four steals and three assists and pulled down nine defensive boards. She drilled hit a buzzer-beater in the first overtime to extend the game and gave CSU Pueblo the lead for good after scoring a layup with 2:07 in double overtime.

Defensive Player of the Week: Olivia Reed, Colorado Mesa – Fr. – F – Windsor, Colo.
Reed recorded a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds, 12 off the defensive glass, to help the Mavericks extend their winning streak to 22 games against the Grizzlies. Reed’s 15 rebounds tied her season and career-high and snapped a four-game skid for Colorado Mesa.
