COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Regis’ Alexis Parker and University of Colorado Colorado Springs’ Madison McGriff are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Parker earns Offensive Player of the Week after pushing the newly-minted  No. 5 Rangers (10-0, 5-0 RMAC) to a 17-3 road win over Fort Lewis last weekend. The senior played a major role in extending Regis’ unbeaten start to the 2022 season after racking up six goals against the Skyhawks. She was perfect on the attack, going 6-for-6 on her shot attempts on the way to claiming her first weekly award of the season.

Regis returns to action this week with a pair of conference games against UCCS and Colorado State University Pueblo. Up first for the Rangers is a showdown against the Mountain Lions on Tuesday, April 12, beginning at 5 p.m. MT on Regis Lacrosse Field in Denver, Colo.

McGriff nabs her second RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season after leading the Mountain Lions’ (6-4, 3-2 RMAC) defense with nine saves in a 20-6 road win over Fort Lewis last week. She guarded the net for all 60 minutes of UCCS’ lone game of the week and earned a .600 save percentage in the process.

UCCS has a pair of games on tap this week, beginning with a contest against an unbeaten Regis program Tuesday evening.
