GOLDEN, Colo. – Ahead of the 2022 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference football season, the league has announced that Nexstar Media’s affiliate network, KWGN Colorado’s Own Channel 2, will simulcast all five of the Orediggers’ home football games for the upcoming season. Each of the Orediggers’ five home games, along with all RMAC-hosted contests for all sports, can also be found on the RMAC Network.

“This is a terrific opportunity to help promote the RMAC’s rich football tradition within the state of Colorado,” said RMAC assistant commissioner Zack Chavez. “This conference is riddled with talent that deserves to be broadcast at every level and, along with the RMAC Network, KWGN’s platform will help showcase these student-athletes in a manner that they deserve.”

Colorado School of Mines’ 2022 home slate will feature five games of its 11-game regular-season schedule. The Orediggers will break in the newly renovated Alumni Field at Marv Kay Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 10, when they host Angelo State in a noon MT kickoff. The contest against the Rams will mark Mines’ second and final non-conference game of the 2022 season.

“We are thrilled to be back with KWGN Colorado’s Own Channel 2 for a third straight football season,” said Colorado School of Mines Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Tim Flynn. “Fans of college football throughout Colorado will have a great slate of games to watch this fall.”

Of the Orediggers’ five home games this season, four will serve as RMAC contests, beginning with a bout against Colorado State University Pueblo on Saturday, Sept. 24, at noon. Mines returns home for a homecoming contest against Colorado Mesa on Oct. 8, at noon.

The Orediggers square off in their penultimate home contest against Black Hills State at noon on Oct. 12, followed by a regular-season finale against Fort Lewis on Nov. 12, beginning at noon.
