COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s Lila Dere and Chloe Dody join Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Elli Zimmer as the week two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Dere captures Offensive Player of the Week honors after a dominant five-goal weekend at home for the Mavericks (2-2). Zimmer earns the league’s Defensive Player of the Week honor after helping the Roadrunners (2-1-1) to an unbeaten weekend. The senior from Castle Rock, Colo., logged 172 minutes on the pitch and was crucial in MSU Denver holding its two opponents to a combined nine shots-on-goal for the weekend. The award marks the first of the season for Zimmer. Up next for the Roadrunners is a showdown at home against Central Washington on Friday, Sept. 9, at 2 p.m. MT, inside The Assembly Athletic Complex.

Dody locks up RMAC Goalkeeper of the week distinctions after steering the Mavericks to an undefeated weekend at home.
