Kylie Wells, Natalie Rouse, Keely Wieczorek Secure Week Seven RMAC Women’s Soccer Awards
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s (11-0-1, 6-0-1 RMAC) Kylie Wells and Keely Wieczorek join Colorado School of Mines’ (9-2-3, 5-1-2 RMAC) Natalie Rouse as the Week Seven Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Offensive Player of the Week: Kylie Wells, Colorado Mesa – So. – F – Fruita, Colo.
Wells had an excellent weekend, highlighted by a five-point performance on two goals and one assist against Western Colorado on Sunday. Wells was also a force for the Mavericks in a 2-0 win over Fort Lewis, a performance that was highlighted by a trio of shots. For the weekend, Wells led the No. 5 Mavericks to yet another undefeated weekend to help stay atop the RMAC standings for a share of first place heading into week eight.

Defensive Player of the Week: Natalie Rouse, Colorado School of Mines – R-So. – D – Carlsbad, Calif.
Rouse helped spearhead two clean sheets for No. 18 Colorado School of Mines, which earned wins over Colorado Christian and Metropolitan State University of Denver last weekend. She played all 180 minutes on the weekend, led a defense that allowed only 10 total shots, and extended Mines’ shutout streak to four matches. Rouse added to her own stat line with her fifth goal of the season against the Cougars on her lone shot attempt of the weekend. Behind her stout defensive play, the Orediggers have not allowed a goal in the last 446 minutes of action, dating back to the beginning of October.

Goalkeeper of the Week: Keely Wieczorek, Colorado Mesa – Fr. – GK – Camas, Wash.
Wieczorek earned a pair of shutout wins and improved her season record to 11-0-1 with a pair of victories for the Mavericks last weekend. The freshman goalie combined for eight saves over her two appearances, including a career-high five saves in a 5-0 win over Western Colorado. Wieczorek currently leads the RMAC with a 0.35 goals-against average and ranks second in the conference with her .879 save percentage.
