COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s Ben Sampson and University of Texas Permian Basin’s Matthew Lenzo are the Week Four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, the league announced Wednesday.

Men’s Swimmer of the Week: Ben Sampson, Colorado Mesa – R-Jr. – Arvada, Colo.
Sampson continued his winning ways, with three victories to lead the Mavericks to their 12th consecutive RMAC dual meet crown against Colorado School of Mines. His 100-yard backstroke leg of 48.83 in the 400-yard medley relay broke the Orediggers’ pool record and helped CMU take the gold. Sampson also won the 50-yard freestyle (21.22) before grabbing another first-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a 1:53.52. His performances helped the Mavs take the meet and continue their RMAC dual-winning streak that has lasted over seven years. All of Sampson’s previously mentioned times have been adjusted for altitude.

Honorable Mention: Luca Burns, Colorado School of Mines; Owen Nicholson, Simon Fraser.

Men’s Diver of the Week: Matthew Lenzo, UTPB – Sr. – Gilbert, Ariz.
Lenzo had a strong week as the Falcons beat Austin College 266-16 on Saturday in a dual showdown. The senior won the three-meter board with a score of 305.85 points, which qualifies him for the NCAA Division II Zone Diving Championships.
