Colorado Mesa’s Sydney Leffler and Allison Waller Accompany Regis’ Mara LeGrand as RMAC Volleyball Players of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s (16-1, 6-1 RMAC) Sydney Leffler and Allison Waller join Regis’ (12-3, 5-0 RMAC) Mara LeGrand as the Week Six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week: Sydney Leffler, Colorado Mesa – Jr. – OH – Eaton, Colo.
Over the weekend Leffler recorded an RMAC-leading 41 kills in a pair of four-set road wins against Colorado State University Pueblo and Adams State. While dominating the offensive end, Leffler also managed to register seven digs, three blocks and an ace over two matches. Her stellar performance accounted for 44.5 total points and 5.56 points per set, which both led the RMAC in the latest week of play.

Defensive Player of the Week: Allison Waller, Colorado Mesa – So. – L – Loveland, Colo.
Waller recorded an RMAC-leading 44 digs for Colorado Mesa in their road wins at CSU Pueblo and Adams State. In their Friday matchup against CSU Pueblo, the sophomore set a career high with 27 digs. Not only was she imposing on defense, but she also made her presence felt on offense with six assists and a service ace. Her impressive performance improved the Mavericks to a program-best 16-1 start.

Setter of the Week: Mara LeGrand, Regis – Gr. – S – Omaha, Neb.
LeGrand masterfully orchestrated the offense for the No. 12 ranked Rangers, who produced 106 kills and hit a blistering .378 in a pair of wins over for Colorado Christian and Chadron State last weekend. The graduate student averaged an even 12.0 assists per set, while producing six kills over two matches. Defensively, LeGrand tallied three blocks and averaged a double-double with 10.5 digs per match.
