COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s Benedict Nagy and Kenya Meyer are the Week Six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week: Benedict Nagy, Colorado Mesa – R-Sr. – Reno, Nev.
Nagy set national-leading times in both the 200-yard and 400-yard individual medleys, winning both events with meet-record times at the TYR/CMU Invitational in Grand Junction, Colo., last weekend. Her 400 IM altitude-adjusted time of 4:11.96 smashed the pool record, which stood for 12 years prior to the weekend. Additionally, Nagy’s 200 IM time (1:59.65) leads Division II and is second among Colorado Mesa's all-time records. Her record-breaking performances led the Mavs to their seventh consecutive TYR/CMU Invitational title, defeating the likes of Division I foes Wyoming, Northern Arizona and Utah along with three RMAC foes.

Women’s Diver of the Week: Kenya Meyer, Colorado Mesa – So. – Bozeman, Mont.
Meyer set a school, pool and meet records in the 3-meter preliminaries before winning the 1-meter title at the TYR/CMU Invitational over the weekend. In Thursday’s 3-meter competition, she scored 522.20 points in the prelims to break the trifecta of records before finishing in second place behind teammate Jenna Hurley in the finals with a score of 464.05 points. The following day, Meyer finished second in the prelims of the 1-meter but redeemed herself by defeating Hurley in the finals with 455.95 points.  All four of the sophomore’s scores throughout the weekend surpassed the NCAA Division II Pre-Championship qualifying standards, and now lead all Division II divers in both disciplines this season.
