KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado State University Pueblo’s Gabriel Campora was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America roster as a member of the third team, the organization announced Thursday. The award was announced prior to the ThunderWolves’ NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship semifinal match, in which Campora netted the game-winning penalty kick in the final overtime period against Florida Tech Thursday at Sportsplex at Matthews in Matthews, N.C.

Campora continues to ride a wave of success throughout the 2023 campaign and enters Saturday’s NCAA DII Men’s Soccer Championship match with 41 points on 19 goals and three assists. His 41 points rank sixth nationally, while his nine game-winning goals lead NCAA DII this season. He has notched four goals throughout the postseason and has five matches with two goals on the year.

Following their seventh postseason win of the year, Campora and the ThunderWolves return to the NCAA DII Men’s Soccer Championship contest against Franklin Pierce, a rematch of last year’s title game. The third-seeded Pack will take on top-seeded Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. MT, and will be broadcast on NCAA.com.
