Margaux Basart and Ryan Foy Named RMAC Indoor Track and Field Summit Award Winners

ALAMOSA, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines’ Margaux Basart and Black Hills State’s Ryan Foy are the 2023 RMAC Women’s and Men’s Indoor Track and Field Summit Award winners, respectively, the league announced Friday.
 
Basart earns the Women’s Summit Award honor as an academic sophomore with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in her engineering physics program. She currently ranks 16th in the conference in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:32.76, which ranks 16th in the RMAC this season. She has also competed in the mile this season and obtained a personal-best time of 5:02.94.
 
Foy claims the RMAC Men’s Summit Award as a senior mathematics and physical science major with a 4.0 GPA for the Yellow Jackets. He currently ranks 14th in the RMAC in the pole vault event with a mark of 4.33m, which he cleared at the 2023 Stinger Open for a fifth-place finish.
