Brian Mosley Jr. and Hunter Potrykus Named RMAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs’ Brian Mosley Jr and Colorado School of Mines Hunter Potrykus are the Week Six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the league announced Wednesday.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Brian Mosley Jr., UCCS – R-Jr. – Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mosley Jr. claims RMAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after placing first as part of the UCCS 4x100-meter relay team and a third-place finish in the 100m race at the Fum McGraw Power Meet in Fort Collins, Colo., last weekend. The redshirt junior started the day as the anchor on the Mountain Lions relay team that crossed the finish line with a NCAA Divison II provisional time of 40.64. Mosley then competed in the 100m dash and came in third place with a time of 10.47. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native was the first NCAA DII athlete to complete the race in a field of 17 athletes, including 11 NCAA DI competitors.

e Mines Mini Meet in Golden, Colo., last weekend. The junior passed on the first five heights before clearing 4.80m on his first attempt. He then passed the next height before clearing the next three heights on his second attempts. Potrykus’ latest mark currently sits top of the NCAA DII performance list.
The Mountain Lions and Orediggers will both compete at the 2023 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Chadron, Neb. The three-day meet will begin on Friday, April 28 and will be broadcast on the RMAC Network.
