Victoria Farinas and Hannah Miller Named Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs’ Victoria Farinas and Colorado School of Mines’ Hannah Miller are the Week Six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the league announced Wednesday. 
 
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Victoria Farinas, UCCS – So. – Miami, Fla
Farinas claims the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honor after putting together an impressive performance at the Fum McGraw Power Meet in Fort Collins, Colo., last weekend. The sophomore helped the UCCS 4x100-meter relay team to a first-place finish with a time of 46.34, a NCAA Division II provisional time. She then earned a second-place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.95. The mark is just three0hundreths of a second off the sophomore’s personal best.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Hannah Miller, Colorado School of Mines – Sr. – Cypress, Texas
Miller cleared a season-best 4.11m to claim first-place at the Mines Mini meet last weekend in Golden, Colo. The Cypress, Texas, native passed on the first seven heights before clearing 4.01m on her second attempt. She then cleared the winning height on her first attempt for a NCAA DII provisional mark. Her current effort is currently No. 5 in NCAA Division II and No. 1 in the conference by 10 centimeters. Miller has now won seven consecutive pole vault competitions dating back to the 2023 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which includes going five-for-five during the outdoor season.
