RU’s Natalie Bunch, Mines’ Natalie Rouse and CMU’s Keely Wieczorek Grab Week Two RMAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Honors
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Regis’ Natalie Bunch, Colorado School of Mines’ Natalie Rouse and Colorado Mesa’s Keely Wieczorek are the Week Two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Offensive Player of the Week: Natalie Bunch, Regis – So. – F – Moses Lake, Wash.
Bunch notched her first two goals of 2023 on Sunday, helping the Rangers to a 4-2 victory over University of Texas Permian Basin. Her first goal came in the third minute, while her second goal came in the 61st minute after drawing a penalty, which she successfully converted.

Defensive Player of the Week: Natalie Rouse, Colorado School of Mines – R-So. – D – Carlsbad, Calif.
Rouse played a key role in pushing the No. 7 Orediggers to a 1-0-1 record last weekend against Angelo State and No. 3 Dallas Baptist. She recorded two shots, one on goal, while anchoring a defense that secured a third consecutive shutout win while allowing a combined three shots all weekend. Sunday against the Patriots, Rouse helped stave off a furious second-half rally and scored her third goal of the season on a corner kick in the 57th minute. Her goal cut the deficit to 2-1 and ultimately saw Mines earn a 2-2 draw while holding DBU to zero shot attempts in the second half.

Goalkeeper of the Week: Keely Wieczorek, Colorado Mesa – Fr. – GK – Camas, Wash.
Wieczorek made three saves in a 2-1 win over Cal State San Bernardino after Colorado Mesa scored their two goals with less than four minutes remaining in regulation. She also tallied another 45 minutes in the net for the Mavericks, helping her squad to a dominant 7-0 win over Newman to close the weekend. All told, Wieczorek recorded three saves over 135 minutes of action.
