Mason Rowland, Alisha Little Tabbed RMAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s (11-3, 5-2 RMAC) Mason Rowland and Colorado State University Pueblo’s (8-7, 3-4 RMAC) Alisha Little are the Week Seven Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week: Mason Rowland | Colorado Mesa | Fr. | G | Durango, Colo.
Rowland scored a career-high 30 points in the Mavericks' first game back from the holiday break, leading CMU past CSU Pueblo by a score of 74-59. In 31 minutes off the bench, the freshman went 9-for-16 from the field, 11-for-13 from the free-throw line and powered the Mavs’ bench, which outscored the ThunderWolves’ reserves 40-16. Against New Mexico Highlands, Rowland scored 15 points in 23 minutes, including a perfect outing from beyond the arc and a 5-for-6 clip from the charity stripe to help CMU secure a 70-34 victory. For the weekend, she shot 62 percent from the field, made 16 of her 19 free throws, recorded 10 rebounds, tabbed seven assists and ripped three steals.

In the Pack's latest three games, Little was once again a force on both ends of the floor, averaging 20.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 5.3 blocks, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals. She grabbed 35 rebounds over 91 minutes of play, including 21 defensive boards. Little recorded two more double-doubles in her last three outings; the first one was a 21-point, 13-rebound effort to topple New Mexico Highlands 82-47. She then racked up 22 points, 16 rebounds seven blocks and two steals in a setback to Colorado Mesa. Little added 18 points, six rebounds and four blocks against Westminster to lead the ThunderWolves to a 67-58 victory over the Griffins. The redshirt junior now has 10 double-doubles on the year, which leads Division II this season and leads the RMAC in blocks (56). Little has recorded double-digit scoring in 14 of her 15 appearances and currently ranks second in the league in scoring with 18.5 points per game.
