Cole Hernandez Named RMAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Colorado’s Cole Hernandez is the Week Six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. The redshirt senior claimed a trio of victories at the 33rd Annual Tracy Borah Duals inside Mountaineer Field House in Gunnison, Colo. Behind Hernandez’s efforts, the Mountaineers swept their three duals to secure a perfect outing on the weekend.
Wrestler of the Week: Cole Hernandez, Western Colorado | R-Sr. | 174 lbs | Pueblo, Colo.
Hernandez completed a perfect weekend with his results at the Tracy Borah Duals, never needing to work past the first period in matches against Minot State, Simon Fraser and Findlay. Hernandez pinned his Minot opponent at the 2:28 mark, pinned his SFU opponent at the 2:25 mark and in the Findlay match, he took just 55 seconds to record his third pin of the day.
