COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its latest RMAC Women’s Golfer of the Week award on Thursday, with Fort Lewis’ Dimery Plewe picking up the league’s latest award for the Skyhawks.
Women’s Golfer of the Week: Dimery Plewe, Fort Lewis (Jr., Cortez, Colorado)
Plewe won individual medalist honors at Fort Lewis’ Nick Turner Invitational at Hillcrest Golf Club. The junior started the tournament with a 2-over 74 in Round 1 before going 1-under 71 in Round 2. With seven birdies along the way, Plewe’s 1-over 145 for the tournament was career-best in a two-round tournament for the Cortez, Colorado native. Plewe also became the first Skyhawk women’s golfer to win a tournament since 2015.
Honorable Mention: Makaela Swanson, Black Hills State; Kyra Allen, South Dakota Mines; Ashley Lam, Westminster.
