COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its latest RMAC Men’s Golfer of the Week award on Thursday, with Colorado Christian’s Sangha Park claiming the league’s latest award.
Men’s Golfer of the Week: Sangha Park, Colorado Christian (Gr., Cheong-Ju, South Korea)
Park was on fire as the Cougars competed in two tournaments in Hawaii. The graduate student began his stay in the Aloha State at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate on the par-72 Mauna Lani North Course. In a tournament filled with nationally ranked players and teams, Park bested them all with an opening-round 6-under par 66, then added a 4-under par 68 in Round 2. He finished the tournament at 10-under par and earned a share of the individual title with teammate Sungyeop Cho. Park and the Cougars stayed on the Hawaiian Islands for the HPU Sharks Shootout, hosted by Hawai'i Pacific University. There, the graduate student shot a 5-under 65 in Round 1 with six birdies before closing out the tournament with a 2-under par 68 performance in Round 2. Park earned a second-place finish at the HPU Sharks Shootout and helped guide CCU to an undefeated fall season.
Honorable Mention: Marius Dosiere, CSU Pueblo; Tyler Tyson, Fort Lewis; Supawich Boonta, South Dakota Mines.
