COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa completed a clean sweep of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards, with junior Olivia Hansson claiming the swimming honor and Jenna Hurley picking up the diving award.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Olivia Hansson, Colorado Mesa (Junior, Kivik, Sweden)
Jansson set three NCAA Championship “B” cut times during Colorado Mesa’s Intermountain Shootout which saw the Mavericks pick up a pair of dual wins against Colorado State Univeristy Pueblo and split a pair of duals against Utah. She won the 200-yard butterfly event with a time of 2:05.15, which is Division II’s best time. Hansson also posted top three finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle, posting a “B” cut time in the 1000 freestyle. On Saturday, she posted a “B” cut time in the 500-yard freestyle event, finishing fourth in the field.

Women’s Diver of the Week
Jenna Hurley, Colorado Mesa (Sophomore, Southlake, Texas)
Hurley finished second in the 3-meter and 1-meter events at Colorado Mesa’s Intermountain Shootout against CSU Pueblo, BYU, and Utah. She posted a score of 251.25 on six dives in Friday’s 3-meter competition to finish second. Hurley followed that with a second-place finish in the 1-meter event, scoring 404.78 over 11 dives.
