COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its Week 10 RMAC Volleyball Players of the Week on Monday. Colorado State University Pueblo’s Kaitlyn Hall, Chadron State’s Alondra Hernandez, and Colorado Christian’s Izzy Jones claimed the conference’s latest weekly awards.
Offensive Player of the Week: Kaitlyn Hall, CSU Pueblo (R-Fr., RS, Colorado Springs, Colorado)
Hall led the ThunderWolves to a 2-0 weekend, beating Western Colorado and Fort Lewis. In the Packs’ 3-1 win over the Mountaineers, Hall recorded 14 kills on .333 hitting and racked up three blocks. In Saturday’s match, the redshirt freshman logged a career-high in points (20.5) while tallying 17 kills on .433 hitting and six blocks. Hall ended the weekend leading the No. 4 ranked ThunderWolves with 31 total kills.

Defensive Player of the Week: Alondra Hernandez, Chadron State (Sr., L, Provo, Utah)
Hernandez was a defensive force for the Eagles, leading her squad to a 1-1 weekend. In the Eagles’ first matchup of the weekend, the senior had 27 digs (5.40 per set) and five points, guiding the Eagles to a 3-2 victory. Hernandez followed this up with a 25-dig outing against South Dakota Mines, pushing the third-ranked team in the RMAC to five sets. The Chadron State libero continues to lead the conference in digs with 436 (4.95 per set).

Setter of the Week: Izzy Jones, Colorado Christian (Sr., S, Murphy, Texas)
Jones led the sixth-ranked team in the RMAC to a 1-1 weekend against South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State. Jones tallied 32 assists and four kills against the Hard Rockers before recording 35 assists and three kills against the Yellow Jackets. With 67 total assists on the weekend, Jones sits at 898 on the season with a chance to get to 1,000 with two more regular season matches to play. As a team, Colorado Christian boasts a 15-9 record on the season with a 7-5 conference record.
