Match Recaps
Match 3: #4 UCCS at #1 CSU Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. – Two Caio Oliveira goals in the first half proved enough as No. 1 seed CSU Pueblo advanced to the RMAC Men's Soccer Championship game for a fourth consecutive year courtesy of a 2-1 victory against No. 4 seed University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Saturday at Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium. Oliveira scored in the eighth and 35th minutes, the first during the run of play on a shot to the top right of the goal and the second off a penalty kick. UCCS had difficulty solving the CSU Pueblo defense and finished with 10 shots and only three on goal. However, the Mountain Lions provided some late drama when Miles Seminario scored in the 89th minute.
Match 4: #3 Fort Lewis at #2 Regis
DENVER, Colo. – Anton Hjalmarsson scored twice in a three-goal first period as No. 3 seed Fort Lewis advanced to the RMAC Men's Soccer Championship game for the second straight season on the back of a 3-0 victory at No. 2 seed Regis on Saturday at Regis Turf Fields. Hjalmarsson scored in the 13th minute before a power outage halted the match for nearly 60 minutes. When play resumed, Hjalmarsson struck again in the 26th minute to provide the 2-0 lead. Two minutes later, Gabriel Legendre tacked on the third goal. Regis did not go away quietly, taking four shots on goal and eight corners in the second half, but it could not get past Skyhawks goalkeeper Lucas Martin, who made four saves in the win.
