COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Regis graduate guard Erin Fry and Adams State senior guard Elaina Watson are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, awarded Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week
Erin Fry, Regis (Graduate, Guard, McKinney, Texas)
Fry averaged 22.0 points per game as Regis posted back-to-back road wins at Point Loma and Biola last week. She nearly had a double-double against Point Loma, finishing with 25 points, nine assists, five rebounds, four steals, and a blocked shot in a 40-minute outing. Fry finished the road trip with a 19-point outing against Biola, including four rebounds, three steals, and an assist. She shot 35.4% from the field but 41.7% from three-point range and 85% from the free-throw line. Fry is second among RMAC scorers with 18.5 points per game, ranking 38th in Division II.

Defensive Player of the Week
Elaina Watson, Adams State (Senior, Guard, Farmington, N.M.)
Watson nabbed 11 steals, including her 200th career steal, as Adams State split a pair of games, falling to Eastern New Mexico before defeating Angelo State. The senior guard had five steals and five rebounds against Eastern New Mexico, and followed that with a six-steal, four-rebound outing against Angelo State. Watson also had a blocked shot in each outing and averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.5 steals per game. She enters the week ranked 29th among Division II defenders with 3.14 steals per game.
