COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Simon Fraser’s Kelsey Loeun is the RMAC Women’s Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Loeun earns the latest women’s wrestling award following an undefeated weekend at the Chadron State College Open.
Women’s Wrestler of the Week: Kelsey Loeun, Simon Fraser (So., 123, Spokane, Washington)
Loeun was a dominant force for the Red Leafs at the Chadron State College Open. The sophomore went undefeated in her six matches, winning the 110-pound weight class. The Spokane, Washington native defeated Mackenzie Peterson of Texas Woman’s, Heavynne Robles-Wright of Chadron State, Rylee Balcazar of Chadron State, and Rachel Jones of Snow College on her path to the title match. In the championship match, Loeun squared off against No. 6 ranked Isabella Morales of Colorado Mesa, defeating her by decision 9-1.
