COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Colorado University junior Leah Wagner and University of Texas Permian Basin senior Kathe Hepfer claimed the sixth edition Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Swimming & Diving Awards on Wednesday.
 
Wagner posted two wins, a second-place finish, and a third-place finish at Midland University’s meet last weekend, posting a RMAC Top 10 time in the 400-yard individual medley. Hepfer claimed a win in a double-dual meet that included Austin College and McMurray University.
 
The next RMAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards will be announced on Jan. 15.
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Leah Wagner, Western Colorado (Junior, Bixby, Oklahoma)
Wagner broke two program records en route to a pair of victories at Midland’s Warrior Invitational. She won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:09.57 and added a victory in the 400-yard individual medley relay with a time of 4:36.86 – seventh best in the RMAC this season. Wagner also finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.21) and third in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Honorable Mention: Jocelyn Jones, Adams State; Maggie Waddington, Nebraska-Kearney; Rowan McWhorter, Texas Permian Basin.
 
Women’s Diver of the Week
Kathe Hepfer, Texas Permian Basin (Senior, Midland, Texas)
Hepfer scored 193.95 to win the 1-meter diving event in a double-dual competition against Austin College and McMurray University.
