COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its Week 5 RMAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week awards on Monday. The latest honorees include Regis’ Chase Mayo Harmon and Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Caleb McGill. Mayo Harmon grabs Offensive Player of the Week honors, while McGill is named Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Chase Mayo Harmon, Regis (Jr., Guard, Peoria, Arizona)
Mayo Harmon, Regis’ standout junior, continued to make a name for himself over the weekend, leading his squad to a pair of conference wins. In Regis’ first RMAC game against New Mexico Highlands, Mayo Harmon scored 25 points on 73% shooting, knocking in four threes and collecting three assists. The Peoria, Arizona native followed that with a 23-point, six-assist performance against Fort Lewis, with his last bucket being the game-winning putback in overtime. On the weekend, Mayo Harmon totaled 48 points (24 PPG), nine assists, nine three-point makes, and a 65% field goal percentage.

Defensive Player of the Week: Caleb McGill, MSU Denver (Sr., Forward, Aurora, Colorado)
McGill was a defensive powerhouse in the Roadrunners conference victories over Fort Lewis and Adams State. McGill started the weekend scoring ten points, seven rebounds, three blocks, and one steal as Roadrunners cruised to a 65-48 victory against Fort Lewis. In Saturday’s matchup against Adams State, McGill again showed out defensively, nabbing three steals, sending back two shots, and grabbing 11 rebounds. In addition to his defensive efforts, the Aurora, Colorado native put up a season-high 23 points, leading his team to a 90-79 victory.
