Dioni Lincoln and Emma Duncan Claim Season’s First RMAC Softball Players of the Week Honors
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico Highlands’ (4-1) Dioni Lincoln and Colorado Christian’s (4-0) Emma Duncan are the season’s first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Lincoln had a monster weekend for the Cowgirls at the South Central Region Crossover, as she helped pace New Mexico Highlands to a 4-1 record to start the 2024 season. Lincoln made appearances in all five games for the Cowgirls and posted a .474 batting average, 1.447 OPS and a .947 slugging percentage. The Kea’au, Hawai’i, native also racked up nine RBIs, seven runs and two stolen bases on opening weekend. Lincoln currently leads the RMAC in RBIs and is tied for first for runs scored. The Cowgirls will be back on the diamond on Saturday, Feb. 17, for their RMAC series opener on the road against University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Pitcher of the Week: Emma Duncan, Colorado Christian | Jr. | P | Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Canada
Duncan made her Colorado Christian debut and led the Cougars to a perfect showing at the CUI Kickoff Classic last weekend. In her first start, Duncan got the Cougars out of a jam which led to an eventual CCU victory, a 2-1 result over Sonoma State. The next day, Duncan continued to impress and pitched eight complete innings against 30 batters to lead the Cougars to a 3-0 win against Cal State East Bay. She then closed the opening weekend with five innings of work that led Colorado Christian to a 10-4 win against Hawai’i Pacific on Sunday. For the weekend, Duncan racked up 13.2 innings in the circle and fanned 10 batters while claiming one complete-game victory.
