2023-24 RMAC Women’s Basketball All-Academic Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s Olivia Reed is the 2023-24 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Academic Player of the Year, the league announced Wednesday. Reed highlights the RMAC All-Academic First Team selections, which were also announced alongside the conference’s academic honor roll. The RMAC All-Academic First Team is voted on by the league’s 15 sports information directors, and those administrators are not permitted to vote for their own players.

Reed holds a 3.92 grade-point average while completing courses towards her fitness and health promotion degree. The sophomore from Windsor, Colo., grabs her second major individual award after recently being named the 2023-24 RMAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year. Reed led her team to a share of the league’s regular-season title, while also topping the RMAC in field goal percentage (57.3%). Additionally, the forward’s efforts this season helped the Mavs grab the two-seed in the 2024 NCAA Division II South Central Regional.

Eight RMAC institutions are represented on this year’s RMAC All-Academic First Team, with Colorado Mesa and Regis both having two selections each: the Mavs’ Reed and Kylie Kravig and the Rangers’ Josey Ryan and Sam Deem from Regis. Six other schools have one individual distinction, with Adams State’s Harmanie Dominguez, Colorado School of Mines’ Ashley Steffeck, Colorado State University Pueblo’s Landri Hudson, Fort Lewis’ Kelsey Sorenson, University of Colorado Colorado Springs’ Maison White and Western Colorado’s Rachel Cockman filling out the rest of the first team roster.
