UCCS’ Audrey Bloomquist Named 2024 RMAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Academic Athlete of the Year
2023-24 RMAC Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs’ Audrey Bloomquist has been named the 2023-24 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track & Field Academic Athlete of the Year, the league announced Wednesday. Announced with Bloomquist’s award, the league released the 2023-24 RMAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field All-Academic First Team and Honor Roll rosters. RMAC All-Academic rosters are voted on by the league’s 15 sports information directors.
Bloomquist earns this distinct honor with a 4.0 grade-point average in communication. The redshirt senior had a remarkable 2023-24 season, as she earned two RMAC Field Athlete of the Week honors. At the 2024 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Bloomquist found herself atop the podium twice, once in the long jump and once in the triple jump. With her help, UCCS was able to capture a second-place team finish with 119 total points. At the NCAA Division II Championships, Bloomquist once again competed in both long jump and triple jump and placed within the top-15 in both events.
Nine RMAC institutions are represented in this years All-Academic roster, with Colorado School of Mines and UCCS leading the way with three roster spots apiece. Colorado Mesa and Western Colorado both claim two roster spots, while Adams State, Colorado Christian, Colorado State University Pueblo, Metropolitan State University of Denver and South Dakota Mines each claim one honoree.
Over 50% of the 2023-24 RMAC All-Academic First Team honorees hold a 4.0 GPA.
