COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Regis’ Megan Bunker and Colorado Mesa’s Kelsey Viger are the Week Four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week, the league announced Monday. The weekly offensive honor marks the first of the season for Bunker, while Viger claims her second consecutive RMAC weekly defensive honor of the year.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Megan Bunker | Regis | Jr. | M | Severn, Md.
Bunker had a tremendous weekend for the No. 10 Rangers, producing two consecutive multi-goal performances while dominating in the draw circle to lift Regis to a 19-13 win over No. 12 Indianapolis on Friday and a 19-9 conference victory over University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Sunday. The junior scored two goals in each win and added an assist against the Mountain Lions on Sunday and did so while compiling a staggering 34 draw controls for the weekend. Against Indianapolis, she collected a season-high 18 draw controls to lead her squad to victory.

Defensive Player of the Week: Kelsey Viger | Colorado Mesa | R-Sr. | D | Savage, Minn.  
Viger racked up six ground balls and seven caused turnovers during Colorado Mesa’s 1-1 outing last week against regional competition. She opened the week up with four ground balls and four caused turnovers in Wednesday’s 13-9 win over Rockhurst. She then followed up with two more ground balls and three caused turnovers in a setback against No. 12 Indianapolis on Sunday. Heading into week five, Viger currently leads the RMAC with 18 caused turnovers on the season.
