COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Adams State’s Romain Legendre and Colorado Mesa’s Eddie Kurjak are the Week Two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Romain Legendre | Adams State | Jr. | Carpentras, France
Legendre had a stellar weekend for the Grizzlies, as they competed in the New Mexico Spring Invitational over the weekend. In his outdoor season debut, the junior ran in the 1,500-meter race, taking home a second-place finish in a field of 16. His altitude-adjusted time of 3:40.84 is the NCAA Division II leading mark this season and the best in the RMAC by eight seconds. The Grizzlies will be back in action on Friday, Mar. 29, as they head to Pueblo, Colo., to compete in the Chuck Haering Open Invitational hosted by Colorado State University Pueblo.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: Eddie Kurjak | Colorado Mesa | Jr. | Longmont, Colo.
Kurjak leapt past all competition over the weekend, as he led the Mavericks at the Spank Blasing Invitational in Pueblo, Colo. The junior set the RMAC’s top high jump mark of the season and the second in NCAA DII with a clearance of 2.15m. With his performance, Kurjak jumped up into the Colorado Mesa record books, earning the second-best jump in CMU Outdoor Track & Field history. The Mavericks have a little break before their next meet, as they will be back to compete on Saturday, Apr. 6, for a home meet in Grand Junction, Colo.
